Yes vote strengthens security of supply

The Swiss people have today voted by a clear majority of around 70% in favour of the Federal Act on the Security of Electricity Supply from Renewable Energy Sources. Alpiq welcomes this result and is grateful to the Swiss people for demonstrating their support for a secure, renewable and local electricity supply.

The Electricity Act provides the necessary instruments to drive forward the generational project of transforming our energy system. It strengthens the development of renewable energies and winter power generation.
